The joint tsog was initiated by the 14th Gyalsay Tulku Rinpoche in 1993 an opportunity for all practitioners of Tibetan Buddhism to celebrate their common intention and heritage as well as celebrate the achievements of the previous year and also dedicate their efforts for the flourishing of the Dharma and the welfare of all beings.
Gyalsay Tulku Rinpoche established Sakya Tharpa Ling and passed away in 1993 just weeks before the first joint tsok was to be staged.Last years event was held at Sakya Tharpa ling where the 15th Gyalsay Tulku Rinpoche was able to attend and so fulfil the wishes of his previous incarnation.
